Chicken Soup for the Soul: Think Possible

Behind the Story​

“Recession Blessings” was initially a story I’d written for my anthology that I never published. It can be
found in Chicken Soup for the Soul – Think Possible, on page 55.

The devastating nationwide recession of 2013 negatively impacted dozens of my media associates. Video Production became “non-essential” almost overnight. We all scrambled for work. I’d suggested we get together to discuss our options.
“We are a creative bunch. Let’s make this happen!” We
named ourselves MAG – the Media Associates Group.

At our once busy and productive studio, we held MAGnificant meetups, brainstorming how to create profitable work for each other. Instead of competing for contracts, we would now work together as a team. A group of professionals, tossed into the raging sea of loss and despair, found amazing success by tying our rafts together and waiting it out.
