This story began as part of a book I’d hoped to publish called Recession Blessings. Dozens of my media associates had experienced the devastating loss of business during the recession of 2013. Video Production suddenly became “non-essential” and we all found ourselves scrambling for work. I created a support group, of sorts – we called it MAG – the Media Associates Group.

At my once very busy production studio we held MAGnificant meetups, sharing our talents and brainstorming how we might join forces to create production work for each other. I had collected a number of their stories for an anthology, but never pursued publication. Later, I submitted the story about how we survived the storm of this recession together. The story is called Recession Blessings, on page 55.
